The rooms at Basiliani Hotel offer breathtaking views of the Gravina Canyon and the Archaeological Park. It's like waking up in a real-life postcard! As a nature lover, this view was a dream come true for me and my family.
Personally, I found the pillow a bit too soft for my liking. However, I understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to pillows, so others might enjoy it.

This hotel has stunning and awesome location in the heart of the historic area. Plus, it's in Sassi di Matera district, next to the the ancient Sassi of Matera, the 3rd oldest town in the world, restaurants and bars, and the natural sightseeing & the old part of the city.

Fantastic small hotel, great views, stunning location in the historic centre. Unique rooms, exceptionally comfortable bed, superfriendly personnel. Very good breakfast, variety of food and beverages. Location just off a breathtaking valley and Matera for the views alone and nice restaurants. For tea or coffee visit Il Quarto Storto nearby...

We had an incredible stay at a unique hotel tucked away in a traffic-restricted area. Despite the challenges of finding the hotel, the friendly staff guided us to a parking spot and transported us and our luggage back to the hotel. Our cave room with avant-garde furnishings was spacious and comfortable, complete with air conditioning and a dehumidifier. The location on the edge of the ravine offered breathtaking views. The staff provided excellent information and recommendations for exploring Matera in just one afternoon. The breakfast was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable experience in Matera.

Wow! Such an ancient place! I felt like a prehistoric princess staying in a troglodyte house. The breakfast was fit for royalty and the staff were like knights in shining armor.
Oh, how inconvenient! I had to rely on an electric car to get to this hidden gem.

During our romantic escape, we loved the unique and historic atmosphere of the hotel. The charming cave-like rooms had a perfect blend of modern amenities and rustic charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for exploring the city and arranging a visit to the local attractions. the breakfast served was delicious and satisfying, giving us a great start to our days.
One drawback of staying in such a historic location was the unavoidable dampness and lack of natural light in the rooms. However, this was expected given the nature of the hotel.

I stayed at a hotel located in an ancient cave on a hillside with a great view of the gorge and surrounding national park. The cave rooms were spacious and well-furnished, with modern amenities like clean and comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing a shuttle service to the bus stop and serving a delicious breakfast. Despite some dampness in the cave, the dehumidifiers helped to control the situation and keep the atmosphere comfortable.
Navigating around the cobblestone paths could be challenging for someone with walking issues.

The hotel I stayed at during my city break had a great location, with beautiful views of the town and surrounding area. The breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and delicious food. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room we stayed in was quite small and cramped, with little space to move around. The ventilation was poor, making it feel stuffy and uncomfortable.
